Well, Lake Placid was absolutely beautiful! Oh my. I would have loved to stay longer. Jay and I were in the cutest little cabin/condo around. I loved it. Little Man was able to attend this race as well...his first Ironman. He still gets excited when you say the word Ironman. The race was okay for Jay...not his best. However, after a clavical break and a spring full of nothing but cycling, I was most proud to see him doing so well in his first Ironman of the season. We have just one more Ironman this year and then the Long Course World Championship in November. I'm looking forward to it all.
After the race we drove down to New York City which, of course, remains one of my favorite cities to visit. Jay and I dined at the very quaint and pleasant French restaurant where we sat at a table on the sidewalk. I loved it. Later on, we did some shopping for Jay. He's going for the "Euro Cool" look these days. We found him some very "Euro Cool" garments and had a nice Italian dinner later that night.
Here are some photos of our trip...
