Our Engagement

Jay asked me to marry him. This happened during one of his races. It was the SC Half Ironman in Greenwood, SC. This race three years ago was the first race I had ever watched Jay do and only the second time I had ever seen him. :-) My mom, dad, brother, and sister-in-law were at the race this year, and like me, they had no idea what was going to happen. It was so special! The photos were taken by a photographer who happened to be standing in the area. Jay came over during the run portion of the race, proposed, and then took off to finish race ending in 39th place out of 500 athletes.
